The main pool has a stunning infinity effect with water a deep marine blue to match the shimmering sea beyond. Facing directly west the villa is cool in the mornings and is in prime position for the spectacular sunsets, perfectly enjoyed with a cocktail in the sala perched above the water’s edge.

Kata beach, just five minutes walk away is arguably the finest of Phuket’s beaches. Relatively undeveloped, the gently sloping shoreline and pristine sands make this the ideal swimming beach in the dry season and the best surfing beach at other times of the year.

The surrounding area of Kata is home to some of the best Thai and Western restaurants on Phuket, amongst them The Boat House, with its award winning wine cellar, just a short stroll away.

Baan Kata Itsara is inspired by Thai design incorporating four separate buildings connected by walkways and gardens decorated ‘Aman-style’ with many Thai and Balinese carvings and statues. From the hand-carved teak wood doors at the entrance to the contemplative Buddha overlooking the lily pond, everything about the villa’s tranquil ambience is captivating.

There are four bedrooms in the property, 2 master suites and 2 smaller rooms. All feature many decorative items with the hardwood floors and ceilings complementing the quality feel of the Asian decor. The ceilings follow the roof line adding to the spaciousness and natural cooling of the property. All rooms are fully air-conditioned and furnished with top-quality linens and mattresses.

The Master Bedroom room with its large balcony overlooks the pool and out to sea. It features a huge canopied four poster bed with en-suite bath and shower, Cable/Satellite TV (BBC, CNN, HBO, Star Sports etc.) and fridge.

The Main Guest Bedroom is located in its own separate building providing a relaxing retreat from other villa occupants. (Perfect for parents wanting a little distance from their children just opposite !) The bedroom also features a four-poster bed, en-suite bathroom plus shower and a CD / tape player.

The Third and Fourth bedrooms are located next to each other and share a well appointed bathroom. They have twin beds which can also be made up into comfortable doubles if preferred.

A well equipped children's Playroom, located below bedrooms two and four, is provided with its own TX, VCR and DVD player, a good selection of suitable DVD’s and videos as well as many games and toys.

The housekeepers quarters with Thai kitchen share the same building as the Playroom.

Dining and relaxing facilities are located in the main building which houses wet-weather sitting and dining areas upstairs, equipped with TV, VCR and DVD, and downstairs, a western kitchen, sun room and dining balcony. The fully equipped kitchen has an oven, microwave, huge fridge and industrial strength liquidizer for preparing frozen cocktails.

The balcony with its breath taking sea views is the perfect location for a quiet breakfast or candlelit dinner. Alternatively the sandstone terrace provides a relaxing shaded area for entertaining with seating for up to 10 people. For those preferring to dine al fresco the tables can be set next to the pool.

The 2 ‘infinity’ pools (7m x 7m and 4m x 4m) have been finished with carefully chosen deep blue tiles selected to mirror the colour of the Andaman sea on a sunny day; the visual effect is quite stunning with the view across the coloured water of the pools to the sea virtually seamless.

Facing due west, the sala provides seating for up to 8 people, and is the perfect location to view the spectacular sunsets. In the daytime it can be set with cushions as a relaxing area to enjoy the sea breezes and the sound of the waves breaking on the rocks below.

Getting There
Getting to and from Kata consumes limited travel time by automobile with the shopping facilities of Phuket town and tourist area attractions of Patong being less than a 20 minute drive, and Phuket International Airport just 45 minutes away
